Privacy Policy

Last updated: 27 September 2026

This policy explains what information the Signal Station app ("Signal Station", "we", "us") collects, why, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. Signal Station is operated by Daniel Onadipe. If you have any question about this policy, contact support@signalstation.live.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account details. When you sign in with Apple or Google we receive your name, email address and a user ID. If you use Sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we receive Apple's relay address instead.

  • Your trading journal. The trades you log: symbol, direction, entry, stop and target prices, position size, exit, profit and loss, your plan and notes, confidence, emotions, execution grades, mistake tags, reflections, setups, and prop-firm challenge rules and balances.

  • Chart photos and voice notes. Photos you attach to a journal entry and voice notes you record are uploaded and stored with your journal. Voice notes are transcribed on your device; the transcript is saved with the entry.

  • Community content. Your calendar bias votes, the reasons and comments you add, and the posts and replies you write in event rooms. This content, with your display name, is visible to other Signal Station users.

  • Preferences. Your time zone, the currencies and impact levels you follow, notification and Live Activity settings, and the answers you give during onboarding (such as your trading style).

  • Feedback. Feature requests and feedback you submit through the in-app feedback board.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data. Which screens you open and which features you use, such as viewing an event, applying a filter or logging a trade. This is linked to your user ID so we can understand how the app is used over time.

  • Device data. Device model, operating system version, app version, language and time zone.

  • Crash reports. Diagnostic information when the app crashes.

  • Push notification tokens. Identifiers that let us send notifications and update Live Activities on your Lock Screen.

  • Advertising identifier. Only if you allow tracking when iOS asks (see section 5).

Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment card details. We receive your subscription status and purchase history through RevenueCat so we can unlock Signal Station Plus.

We do not collect your precise or approximate location, your contacts, or your broker login credentials.

2. How we use your information

  • To run the app: sign you in, sync your journal across devices, show economic events, send the alerts and Live Activities you turn on, and unlock Plus features.

  • To show community features: aggregate bias votes, display room posts, and moderate content that is reported or breaks our rules.

  • To provide AI features (see section 3).

  • To understand and improve the app: which features are used, where people get stuck, and what is crashing.

  • To measure which campaigns bring people to the app, if you allow tracking.

  • To contact you about your account, respond to feedback, and send important notices. We only send marketing messages where the law allows, and you can opt out at any time.

3. AI features

Signal Station uses Google's Gemini models, through Google Cloud Vertex AI, for three features:

  • AI market analysis on economic events and currency pairs. Only market data is sent (event figures, forecasts, community vote counts, retail positioning). No personal information is included, and a single analysis is shared by every user who opens it.

  • AI trade review (Plus). When you ask for a review of a closed trade, we send that trade's details, your notes, reflection, voice note transcript and a summary of your last 25 closed trades. We do not send your profit and loss in currency or your position size; results are sent as R-multiples.

  • AI journal review (Plus). When you ask for a review on the Breakdown screen, we send the statistics shown on that screen for the selected period.

Google processes this data only to generate the response and, under Google Cloud's terms, does not use it to train its models. The resulting reviews are stored in your account so you can see them again. AI output is generated automatically, can be wrong, and is not financial advice.

4. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that run parts of Signal Station for us, and only for that purpose. Each has its own privacy policy, linked below:

  • Google Firebase (Google LLC): sign-in, database, file storage, cloud functions, push notifications, crash reporting, analytics, remote configuration and app integrity checks. Data involved: account details, journal, photos, voice notes, community content, preferences, usage, device and crash data, push tokens.

  • Google Cloud Vertex AI (Google LLC): AI analysis and reviews. Data involved: as described in section 3.

  • Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple: sign-in. Data involved: name, email, user ID.

  • Mixpanel: product analytics. Data involved: usage data linked to your user ID, name and email.

  • RevenueCat: subscription management. Data involved: user ID, purchase history, subscription status.

  • Meta Platforms (Facebook SDK): measuring which ads led to installs. Data involved: app install and usage events; advertising identifier only if you allow tracking.

  • UserJot: feedback board. Data involved: name, email, feedback you submit.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a merger or sale of the app, in which case this policy continues to apply.

5. Tracking and your choices

  • App Tracking Transparency. Signal Station asks for permission before tracking. Analytics (Mixpanel and Firebase Analytics) and ad attribution (Meta) run only if you tap Allow. You can change your answer at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, or Settings > Signal Station.

  • Notifications and Live Activities. Turn them on or off in the app's settings or in iOS Settings.

  • Community content. You can change your bias and its comment, and delete your own room posts.

  • AI features. AI analysis and reviews run only when you tap to request them.

6. Where your information is stored

Your data is stored on Google Cloud servers in the United States. AI requests may be processed by Google in other regions. Our other providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your account and journal for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account in the app from Settings > Account > Delete Account and Data, which deactivates it immediately. To have all remaining data you have stored with us erased, email support@signalstation.live and we will complete it within 30 days, except where we must keep information to meet a legal obligation. Anonymous, aggregated statistics (such as total bias votes on an event) may be kept after your account is deleted.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, including the UK, EU, Nigeria and California, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email support@signalstation.live. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Where the law requires a legal basis, we process your information to provide the service you signed up for (contract), with your consent (tracking and analytics), and for our legitimate interests in securing and improving the app.

9. Children

Signal Station is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact support@signalstation.live and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls and security rules that restrict each user's journal to that user. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects you where the law requires.

11. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
